JB4 DME Error - 2C9D Lambda probe heating in front of catalytic converter 2, input si

Hi guys,

anyone encountered this when doing a code check on their jb4 interface?

2C9D Lambda probe heating in front of catalytic converter 2, input signal

from my understanding it has something to do with the 02 sensor with the DP's.

Anyone encountered / know how to fix it?

Just clear it and see if it pops up again.

I had a niggly O2 sensor related error that would pop up randomly after going catless DP's. After 6 months or so i wacked in some new bosch o2 sensors and it came good (just because you have a O2 sensor fault does not mean your O2 sensors are faulty, have you uploaded a new map recently?)

This keeps popping up here and there, its not constant. the misfiring starts and stops and goes back to normal.

I have cleared codes a few times and have been playing around with the jb4 interface.

Possible loose connection maybe?

If the sensor was faulty it would there would be constant misfiring im presuming?

Have you got DP's or are you on stock cats?

have you changed spark plugs or coils?

If these are > 2 years old 40k kays change them as a starting point.

When I had misfires I put new coils in and it improved but still got the misfires, my plugs were 6 months old and were bmw items so i bit the bullet replaced them and bam my car was a lot better!

If the lambda sensor error still keeps popping up swap em out for a bosch replacement (have a look in my build thread for the bosch part #, they are half the price of the bmw items)

The sensors are supposedly quite fragile, and many guys report after a DP change they strike lambda sensor issues.

Haven't done dp's yet. Thinking of changing them soon tho. Might as well do them now I'm thinking.

It's due for a service now. Maybe I should tell the mechanic to do all that.

I was looking at your thread. Very useful.

If you're going to do dp's change them then, as essentially to replace the lambda sensors you have to remove the DP's (it wont cost you any extra to install the lambda sensors when doing the dp swap)
