With same engine capacity and rev limit, so does it mean that a twin turbo charged N52 going to nail the N54 |

Because turbo engines are meant to be run with the turbo working, otherwise it's just a big exhaust restriction not to mention all the calibrations revolve around a boosted application (timing, AFR, compression ratio would all be different if it was designed to run without boost). Hence an N54 in limp mode does not turn the car into a 328 or 330i.

I bet with tweaking to the vanos/fuel/timing tables you could get 10-20whp from map8+naturally aspirated flash, probably be in the 200-220whp range or so, maybe even a little higher. But that's kinda crazy talk.
