:
With same engine capacity and rev limit, so does it mean that a twin turbo charged N52 going to nail the N54

Map 8? Economy mode? No turbos and still has all the piping to go through it's slower than a 328, 330

Because the engine is completely different and map 8 is not any means of a "go" map. Annnnnd try the boost levels that we run on the n54 and watch that 52 disintegrate.

Because turbo engines are meant to be run with the turbo working, otherwise it's just a big exhaust restriction not to mention all the calibrations revolve around a boosted application (timing, AFR, compression ratio would all be different if it was designed to run without boost). Hence an N54 in limp mode does not turn the car into a 328 or 330i.

I bet with tweaking to the vanos/fuel/timing tables you could get 10-20whp from map8+naturally aspirated flash, probably be in the 200-220whp range or so, maybe even a little higher. But that's kinda crazy talk.

Also gear ratios are different on N/A vs turbo.
