Got some new info re. 325d.

Original horsepower is really appr. 217 hp@4000 rpm, the torque is 420 NM. (Thats 20 hp / 20 NM more than the 197 hp its supposed to have, probably because its detuned)
The engine in original state drops hard after 4000 revs probably so it wont get as close to the 330d in max performance, while when chipped (properly) its like the 330d engine that pulls good all the way to 4800 rpm.

The 325d had a top speed governeur at 240 km/h until 2 months ago (2007 model), the 2008 model has the limiter at 250 km/h.

If the tuner knows the BMW programming well the 325d can be chipped to 280 hp and 600 NM, but theres only two tuners who can so far, German Hartge and Norwegian www.ESSTUNING.com

Do you know or having any experience with the DTK Chips from www.biltuning.no ? My new car will be delivered very soon and I am very eager to get the best chip for my car. It is very easy to install these chips and I will get 209 HK and 413 NM on my 320d, which is close to your
325d stock performance.
