Rotor/Pad recommendation

Hey guys, took my 07' 335i in to my local performance shop today and found that I need new rotors/pads on all 4 corners so i'm looking at some options. Please give me some opinions on what you would recommend for a daily driven street setup.

Right now they recommended Zimmerman rotors and Hawk pads for all four corners. I checked some prices online and this seems like a good combo...what do you guys think?

I want to keep the price low without sacrificing performance/reliability. I also have a friend who's a mechanic so he's going to install them for me so labor would be cheap (probably a case of beer )

Oh yea, since i'm new to the BMW modding scene if you guys can throw some good reputable online stores where I can buy parts at that would be great

Also was looking at Stoptech Blank rotors and Stoptech pads. Price on those seem to be good as well.

Hps + Zimmerman

Purchased the zimmerman rotors & HPS PADS / SENSOR FROM ECS TUNING
.
Picked up copper anti + Quiet Brake from Bavarian
.
.
Watched video of front Brake job on BavarianAuto
.
.
Accomplished the work in a slow 4 hrs pace --- no squeal after 2 weeks
EASY JOB -- but rewarding --- took extra time to clean up calipers and even applied Quiet Brake the night before on the back of pads.
.
.
Appears to be less dust and good feel -- have been easy on them so cant say how they compare to OEM. Cold Bite feels a little weak.

Cool Carbon and Zimmerman was my 2nd choice - just due to pad price.

I am sold on the zimmerman -- Z-Coated --- great --

Stoptech slotted pads with their street performance pads is a very good combo and a step up from the oem brakes.

You could not have gone wrong with Cool Carbon Performance pads and the Zimmerman Z-coated rotors are a good choice as well. The copper paste works and is good also as an anti seize on such as spark plugs and it's been around for some time. We prefer a good high temperature caliper grease such as Sta-Lube synthetic Brake Caliper grease for the sliding surfaces.

We run Cool Carbon pads on our cars here and are very pleased with the performance for both street and light track.

You mentioned powerslot 120 blanks v 126 blanks (that you sell) in a pm.
What's the difference?

Syn Grease - Must Agree

YES - Used Coper based anti on the hubs and rotor pin screw but yes I also used the exact syn grease on the caliper hold down block ears ---- it's all good.

I purchased my slotted rotors from www.brakeperformance.com, Akebono Euro Ultra Premium ceramic brake pads from www.placeforbrakes.com,brake sensors from www.rockauto.com and installed at Camber-Toe .
So far its only been a week, and I'm pretty much satisfied.

I'm selling my brand new pads and rotors

I looked into all this when I wanted to upgrade my stock brakes too, I ended up getting stoptech slotted rotors and Hawk HPS pads but now decided I'm going to go for a BBK. Let me know if you're interested in either the pads or rotors, all of them are still in the box.

How are do you drive? I've had racing brake rotors and pads before on my old daily driver, they worked great but are on the pricey side of things.

HPS + Plain Z-Coated Zimmerman Rotors

Feels like OEM, Less Dust and no noise. (OK -- a little less cold bite)
.
.
Think that the noise from HPS that some report -- just may be associated to installation. Use a quality sys caliper grease for pins and ears of pads and hold down bracket + Quiet Brake (used CRC in past but many report QB is better). Don't forget Copper Anti for hubs and rotor screw. Also rotors that are drilled and or slotted play a role in the squeal.
.
.
As usual -- when one company uses HAWK HPS as their comparison it says something. Check out prices on CC -- I have read that they are great -- but when I found a good combo price at ECS Tunning --- I decided to give HPS + Zimmerman a try.

ALL QUALITY STUFF = GOOD RESULT

Zimmerman cross drilled rotors + Textar Pads are wonderful for track, and street use. Smooth, immediate stopping power, and zero fade. Just make sure to get the coat Z rotors, or spray paint the non coated rotor hats, before mounting.

How much do you want for the set? I'm in OC so could meet you somewhere in between. Was originally looking for stoptech slotted/drilled and HP Plus pads, but your stuff is close enough if it's a good deal.
