2. I have an xi so I lose close to 20% of power between the crank and the wheels... a rwd bmw will only lose about 8-10% normally.
3. I have a burnt up clutch so I don't think they ran it as hard as they could've nor got as clean of a pull as they would have liked to.

With all of that being said, I think its best not to put up an actual number right now but I promise I will very soon... I don't want to over/under estimate just to be fair to Tony and CS Tuning and also to anyone who might want this tune so they don't expect more than they can actually do.

I can tell you however that they are aiming to get about 10-15hp (about the same in torque) out of these tunes and after driving 150 miles with it on the car, I have noticed a significant difference in the mid range pull, mostly in 3rd and 4th gear. With a little bit of tweaking and a new clutch I think this car will be up there with a stock 330i if not quicker.

I don't know about the price because I think they are still working that out right now but I would assume somewhere around the $400-800 range would be a fair estimate.

I will keep everyone updated when I get back on a dyno in a few weeks and try to get a little more power by tweaking the maps.
hey 6hp/9lbs is pretty good. I hope the price is well priced.
i guess paired with this upcoming flash and injen intake should
have some great numbers. BTW did you have an aftermarket intake
while on dyno?

yes, I have a simota v1. I also have the rpi scoops but the 2 fans they had going were pretty low on the ground... I think if we put them on something and make them level to the grill it might help a little bit more too... seemed like the air wasn't really getting up to the grills very well.

I hear the injen actually doesn't as well because it still sucks in a lot of hot air since its not enclosed.

Oh wow. Congrats on that. What did they do to gain that? Made it run richer? Any change to the Valvetronic? I'm so curious, haha.

I'll ask Tony, all I really know is they are basically messing with the air/fuel ratios and a few other tricks. I'll let him post some kind of an explanation up when he feels ready to.

Yeah its a pretty nice setup if you are running an intake/exhaust combo. You might even see a tiny bit more gains than from mine cuz I only have the intake.

Haha. Alright. Sounds good to me. I just always thought that messing with the valvetronic could really help produce gains.

the way the valvetronic works is very complicated, so I doubt they are messing with it just yet. those numbers are better indicators of fuel and timing changes. Once you start getting into valve lift, you can see bigger gains, but because the valvetronic continuously alters lift depending on speed, load, throttle position, etc., it will be much harder to tune.

Maybe they can figure out a way to patch-in the higher lift valvetronic programming from a 330, and then tune the fuel and timing to match the 328's engine and intake.

Yeah I'd bet the vavletronic is left alone at this point.

You shouldn't be posting anything like this unless you have the dyno results jk.
That is great news, just can't wait for the dyno results.

Haha well Tony kept them and I'm not going to "publish" anything until they tell me its the best tune they have for the car. I'll be trying to get back in there sometime in the next week or two for them to finish up. After that, I'll make sure I post up my dynos and all that... though since LETMotorsports isn't a vendor I don't know what the can offically say/publish on these forums w/o getting in trouble.
