Does anyone know how to turn the brake lights on as welcome lights?

I know this has been discussed before, but I went through all the old posts (and maybe Im missing something) but I couldn't find an answer.

Also, what does the value "WL_FL" turn on in terms of welcome lights. I used "WL_AL" to turn on the low beams, is this maybe the high beams?

Thanks in advance!

FL is high beam.

WL_BL is brake light.

Thats what I thought that WL_BL is the brake lights, but I do not have that in my FRM.

And when I had my car stock, the brake lights did come as welcome lights so I know it works somehow.

Any other ideas?

Tried that already but those are the front turn signals as welcome lights.

I finally got it to work with WL_SL_2. Maybe I read it wrong as parkings lights, but they accomplished exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks again to all for the effort and help!

While were on the welcome lights subject, anyone know if there is a way to leave the headlights on once you turn off the vehicle? The way some cars do for a few seconds before turning themselves off...

It's in your onboard computer -- there is an option for pathway lighting of up to 2 min or something like that. Check the settings.

Do you think the Lux 5.1 LEDs can handle being overdriven at 18V?

I would say try asking the Lux guys. No one wants to risk killing his LEDs.

Fair point. Though I kind of doubt they have any idea hehe.

I do believe they are parking lights, except the 2 probably means rear parking light (dimmed brake light I suppose).

Marc (mds82) probably has the specs on the LEDs he uses for the Lux. We should definitely check those out first.

1) Anyone swap a new FRM into their cars and code it (guessing simply loading their previous FRM's MAN file into the new module)? I've got FRM1 and may need to upgrade if my LED tails don't want to work just by coding the 2 lines...

2) Anyone with a 330 or 325 which has had the steering column replaced under warranty with one without the lock (there was an SIB on this), PLEASE SEND ME YOUR CAR'S VO(FA) + TRC FILES!!! You could help myself as well as several others who are experiencing problems with their steering column locks. Thanks.

I've never tried it myself.
I'm not sure. I have it to nicht_akitv but it didn't disable the errors but the following did so they are probably all you need for AE errors:

KALTUEBERWACHUNG_SL_V_L
KALTUEBERWACHUNG_SL_V_R

WARMUEBERWACHUNG_SL_V_L
WARMUEBERWACHUNG_SL_V_R
