This is my first time trying this. The video says to work with the FSW_PSW.MAN file while the DIY PDF says FSW_PSW.TRC. Which one is it?

I think it's because I have the euro headlights which doesn't turn on the turn signals when headlights are on.

You are confused. Follow the PDF. When you read the module the file generated is "FSW_PSW.TRC". You need to rename it to "FSW_PSW.MAN" in order for NCS to code the new parameters. The .man file is what NCS uses to code the car.

Got it. Thanks. Managed to turn digital speedometer on

About the welcome lights, do they work all the time? Mine are already factory set to turn on the angel eyes, rear and license plate lights but only when the headlight switch is set to Auto.

if we got the SW update for the fuel pump / injector thing; would the daten files that were included in the packaged ncsexpert/inpa/etc.. be up to date or would that even matter?

Was looking for disabling AE dimming when you turn on headlights and found something different - turn off rear tail lights in DRL mode. Added to the list.

I'm wondering about that too. I want to update my car once before applying all the coding changes but not while the 2011.5 CIC Combox update is messing up U.S. non-Combox cars.

It also makes me wonder if the daten files will cause the modified modules to regress in version or if it doesn't matter and only the particular coded options change.

Have you played with these two codes for angel eye dimming?

I have added the ACOUSTIC=AKTIV in CAPPL and have checked both in the iDrive menu. The car BEEPS when I lock and unlock it, but the volume is fairly low. Is there a setting I can change to make it sound louder?

Try "DRL_TFL_MIT_NSW".

I've found the similar code last month as below;

"DRL_TFL_MIT_RL_BL_2" in NFRM change aktiv to nicht_aktiv

Now my E92 turns on the DRL with AEs only.
I updated the spreadsheet for those who are interested.
The above code is for FRM2.
And you can turn off the DRL taillights by "DRL_TFL_MIT_SL_2" in FRM3.

Yeah these are the first ones I did. It actually makes dims it full time. Without them the AE's run full power when DRL is on.

Hm. I wonder if any special VO needs to be added for paddle shift? I have not checked my VO, but I assume Steptronic (S202A) is present regardless of paddles if you have a 6AT... I am certain my wiring is right (since I'm using OEM paddles and OEM MF buttons from a paddled car, heh).

Anybody have any ideas?

I think there is a VO for sports wheel with paddle shifters. I have to check the list tonight after work.

I'd really, really appreciate it if you could. In post 503 (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=503) there is a complete list of VOs, but I can't find anything paddle-related in it...
