When should I order?

Does anyone know when I should place my for my 335, if I want to take delivery in the first weeks of August ?

6-8 weeks is the average time from order to delivery (depending on final destination) but you really need to take into account that if you wait for the last minute, your dealer may not have allocation available for the vehicle you desire. So let's work backwards....you want an August delivery which means your car should be assembled in July (which is the last month before the factory shuts for vacations). July production numbers are released in June and allocations are probably available in May.

If I was you and was dead set on when I wanted to take delivery, I would place my order no later than May 1 (or before) and lock up a production slot in week 27. Keep in mind, few things go as planned and there are no guarantees that everything will fall into place as you wish them to. Be prepared to suffer the anguish that everyone else experiences when they are waiting for their new BMW.
