Fuel pump issue and outta warranty. Best dealership to ask for warranty in NJ?
I have an 07 335i that's out of warranty. I was giving the car some gas to overtake a car and the started to stutter a little bit. Didnt think too much of it. Gave it some gas again to check it if would happen again. Surely enough the car was bogging a little. Engine temps were okay (225). Now a check engine light is on.
Does this sound like a HFPF issue? What's the best dealer to go to in central NJ for the recall? Edison? DCH? |

HPFP is covered under a 120,000 mile warranty I believe.

OP do you have a tune in the car or an OBD scanning tool? If so, check the DME fault codes. Or some of these auto parts stores will check codes for free. Otherwise, you're just going to have to take it in to get looked at so the dealer can check it out. What you're describing could be HPFP, or any number of other things...

Don't worry, actually many of tge the 'other' possibilities are easy fixes...valve cleaning, plugs and coils, etc. Keep us posted!

I had a similar issue happen once, it basically just deactivated cylinder #5 and the car was shaky (Happened the same way you described your issue). I looked up the code and it was something not serious... I cleared the code and never had the issue again for at least 10k+ miles.
