e9x Front Guide Support
Hello
Im swapping out my stock suspension for Koni yellow and HR Sport springs. Ive already purchased everything for the back and now Im ordering the front. My question is on any small upgraded parts. For example I ordered everything for the rear including M-Sport suspension bumpstops. Once arrived I did more research and realized that I should have indeed ordered the E85/86 Z4 bumpstops. I returned and ordered those. I guess I just want to get what is needed the first time. In this research i also realized I need to order the E36 M3 front bumpstops. So what else should I order for this install that wouldn't be the original versions? Everything looks like it can't be changed (*or wouldn't make any difference) outside of the bumpstops and the front guide supports. Which guide supports should I use? Thanks

I went with the 31306775098 given that it's "higher quality" than some of the other OEM pieces according to Turner:

Quick question. I read somewhere here that someone swapped their guides and it actually raised the front of the car up... Did you experience this?

Yes. The rubber in the new mount is taller than the rubber in the worn unit you are replacing, Plenty of pics in this thread:

Whats strange, If I remember correctly, the guide has no rubber in it? The rubber was above and below the spring itself?

OH shit I see it now. I had no idea the strut guide had the rubber built into the metal guide itself. Well yeah Im not changing these out. Ill get new washers and E36 M3 bump stops and call it a day. Thanks for the info though
