Exclamation SKY+ and BBC you goons!

Afternoon all!

I was just watching F1 that I recorded this morning and in the middle they say were now changing channels to BBC2 does the SKY + series link follow the action? Like fuck it does.

Crap!

Don't worry you saw the best bits on one. All got pretty boring towards the end.

I was turning the air a bit blue this morning too. Set the Sky+ and was busy getting breakfast for the kids etc and then sat down to watch the race about 30/40 mins after it started... when they announced that they were switching to Beeb 2 I checked andwas not amused to see it had not recorded (I blame BBC for switching the bl@@dy channel mid-race). Switched over to BBC2 to get the live picture and saw them jumping about in park ferme. Not a happy camper!!!

Great first half to the race though.

Yep. Ridiculous. I prefer to follow FACT ie f1 rather than FICTION ie the sunday service that BBC decided they HAD to put on BBC1 even though it gets nowhere near the viewers...

Yeah I wasn't too pleased either when I was watching it this morning....

"now we would like to welcome BBC 2 viewers"..... I remember thinking that's a bit odd and then couple of mins later end of recording. WTF! Channel hopping muppets!

I then tried to record the later highlights and as much as possible try to avoid the news, but sods law is that best as you are driving TP kicks in and spoils it all.

I only started watching on my PVR with a 5 min delay - but would have been very annoyed if I'd left it say a hour later and missed the end.

I made a compliant here so hopefully they won't do it again.

This is the response - I made it clear this switching messes up recordings and PVR etc. - I don't think from this response they get the point at all, or care.

Thank you for your e-mail regarding 'Formula One: The Malaysian Grand Prix' broadcast on 4 April.

We appreciate that you were left unhappy that the race was moved from BBC One to BBC Two.

We have a commitment to show all 19 Formula One Grand Prix races live. Our flagship channel BBC One is the usual home for F1, however, we also have a commitment to religious programming and as it was Easter Sunday, the decision was taken to share coverage on BBC One.

We'd like to assure you that we've registered your complaint on our audience log. This is a daily report of audience feedback that's circulated to many BBC staff, including members of the BBC Executive Board, channel controllers and other senior managers.

The audience logs are seen as important documents that can help shape decisions about future programming and content.

Thanks again for taking the time to contact us.

Fuck no, there were diabolical. Missing Interviews etc.

Eurosport had it licked. Apart from adverts.

BBC has been good. This is the only fluff so far.

What's so special about Easter Sunday anyway that it had to interfere with the Grand Prix?

Agreed, there were simply not enough expletives in my, albeit rather diverse, dictonary to express just how $ucked off I was.

Put it this way *IF* there was a god there should have been a bolt of lightning heading to our lounge right there and then!
