First production Vishnu " PROcede " in 335i -- Results

Just installed our first production (non beta) unit in a customer car yesterday:

Totally stock 6MT on 91oct 1st 3 runs on the baseline map. No tuning. This car doesn't even have an exhaust on it. Compared to the cars running our beta system, tested under identical conditions, we're seeing ~20lbft torque improvements with a broader, smoother power curve. This car is running the same hardware/software as our exhaust-equipped car that is now putting down 340whp/390lbft on 91oct and 356whp/405lbft on 93oct.

We haven't tested the speed limiter defeat feature yet as I haven't had the nerve to do any 150+mph blasts down the road. Waiting for a 130mph limited non-Sport equipped car to show up.

Starting now, we're going to start sending out at the rate of 20 units/week. The first 20 are going to the dyno day folks in Texas and in LA. The reason I can only ship 20 right now is because I only have 20 harnesses ready to go. We had to make some changes in the design to accommodate the new hardware changes. I expect to have more of the necessary components towards the end of next week which means we can ship another 20 units out then. And then 20-30 per week until we're caught up. So we should all be caught up with orders within 5 weeks. How do you know if you're about to get yours, you ask? Your cc will be charged the balance just before we start putting together your kit. As for the order of shipping, first priority always goes to dyno day folks and then, after that, in order of sales date.

Regard,
shiv

Guys, excuse my ignorance but what is Xede? What does it do, how much does it cost and is it easy to install? Oh and where do you get it and how much does it cost? Sorry for all the questions!

I'm guessing its something to do with increasing power...

There are 330 threads when I searched and not clear from the discussions as everyone knows what they're talking about.

If you can't help that's fine. Am happy to read elsewhere if a helpful member could point me to a relevant thread.

Many thanks!

Start reading the ones that are started by Shiv@vishnu. I will find you some good ones and keep posting them:

Take 7: We finally dyno a Steptronic all proper-like
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...highlight=xede

Take 3: Vishnu 335i coupe Tuning Update
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...highlight=shiv

Take 2 from Vishnu: Tuning the 335i
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...highlight=shiv

405lb-ft of torque at the wheels?
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...highlight=shiv

There's so many. I could sit here and cut and paste for hours. Just type in xede at the top and hit search. Start with the ones started by shiv, and any real long ones after that..

No problem. Been searching for the first one. This is where it all started..

First Attempt: 335i tuning from the nerds at Vishnu
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30027

This is a good one too:
Take 5: Vishnu 335i - Finally tested the Vishnu Stg 1 "kit"
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36987

and this one:
Vishnu Tales from the Dyno: 12/16/06
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40401

Those should keep you busy for a few..

So your saying your exhaust ads 17rwtq and 20rwhp ? ? ? if thats ture I thinkg your exhaust is the highest power producer from all the exhaust thus far, by the way how come we havent heard nothing about your exhaust yet, pics, sound clips, vidoe clips, anything would be nice, by the way very cool mod.

Hope you all don't mind. I felt news of the first production unit install deserving of its own thread.

That's great news, Shiv. btw -Since I was part of the S. FL Xede Install/Dyno Group, I know I'm paid in full...two questions:

1. How will I know when you've shipped the final version Xede out to me?
2. Will it have printed instructions and/or a DIY Video along with it for easy uninstall of the original Xede unit and a reinstall of the new Xede unit?

Thanks.

just straight bolted on the exaust isnt going to add that much, the reason it adds so much is because it lets him to push the tune a little more, so it probably adds like 10hp just stuck on there and than another 7 from more available tuning
