Sloppy, you are testing the valve under MUCH higher pressure than the meth vapors will ever place on that cap. Turning the tank over and allowing the fluid to place pressure on that tank cap is not real world. I am not 100% sure, but in my opinion I think it was designed as a one way valve to allow air in to avoid suction pressures on the tank, but not allow methanol vapors to release. This is simply my experience from using this tank for a couple of years.

Yeah it's going to work well for me. I just wanted to test everything to satisfy the inquiring mind . I did notice though, the tighter you close the lid, the less vent There are which means its harder for the pump to pull meth out of it. Just a FYI. I would probably just tighten it so no liquid can spill out as it'll never tip over, but enough for the meth to flow freely.

Go gravity fed and you will never have a problem. I have used this for a while and it has worked very well.
