Anybody ever manipulated the dealer into doing it under warranty? if so, what did you say where they kind of had to take your word for it and just go ahead and do it?

the only way the dealer covers it is if you have persistent misfire they can't resolve with the usual methods (plugs, coils, injectors, etc) or maybe if your brother is a SA.

My car has had a tune and catch can since 1000 miles and the valves were disgusting when I cleaned them at 60k. Nice of BMW to include it in their maintenance plan

yeah, for all the pain and suffering of HPFPs, Coils, Injectors, wastegates, etc this car has....it should be a dealer free maintenance items for N54/55 owners.
