I no its absolutely mental, think about it, you buy a car hypathetically for 20k so then you pay 3500 for insurance, thats 17.5% of the cars value on insurance, that is rediculous.
No its not because there is no one else where i live, its because they aint theiving jippos hahahaha |

Shop around, thats my advice, you will get silly quotes but you will also find some good ones.
I'm 22 with 4 years ncb and the only driver on the policy, costing me a meagre £650 for my 335i and thats with a 400 pound excess I think. I was 18 when I bought an evo 8 and was then paying a hell of a lot more, now iv saved my ncb up im laughing, done all the hard work as it were lol I also use to think insurance is a load of $hit, but older and slightly wiser now I actually am glad that high premiums exist for young drivers. Some countries i have been to where insurance is not a legal requirement huge problems exist, such as every 18 year old driving a high performance car and not having a clue what to do with it, its damn dangerous! |

If your driving a 20k-45k car at a young age, surely you can afford the insurance?
I was not under 20 when I got mine, but insurance was steepish. No issue though.
