In addition to my supercharger. . .

In addition to my supercharger installation, which happens this week, I am having paddle shifters retrofitted on my car. To be sure this is not an inexpensive retrofit, but one I am certain I will enjoy.

The items I bought to complete this upgrade include:

New M Sport Steering Wheel: $545.00
New M3 DCT Paddles: $385.00
Retrofit Kit and Install Guide from BMS: $145.00
New Steering Wheel Controls: $170.00
Extended Paddles: $80.00

Since I decided to go through the expense of doing this, I opted for the M3 DCT paddles, which are much more expensive than the standard paddles, and are much harder to find used. I found a new set on Ebay for $385.00, which is about half of retail. These paddles differ from the standard paddles in that the left paddle is downshift only (pull) and the right paddle is upshift only (pull).

Also, the Retrofit kit will not work unless a specific steering wheel control is used so I had to buy a new one of these.

So as previously mentioned, I will be dropping my car off tomorrow to have the shift paddle retrofit done and the ESS supercharger installed along with a BMS oil catch can. I did do four zero to 60 runs yesterday, so I have that baseline. I will explain in more detail my timing methodology when I post the before and after results. I know I will get crap for this, but there will be no before dyno run--sorry guys.

But, did I say this was awesome?

Yes you did!

But I have no headers now, only an automatic; so I hope you can live with an after supercharger dyno graph.

This is so awesomely cool. Now
If only the GM transmission could be flashed using the Alpina tune. Now that paired with all this, would be drool worthy.

Any luck on seeing if the shifts are crisper instead of the shit that the GM transmission usually is?

Drive the auto in manual mode, responds fast, upshifts and stays in gear when shifter is flicked and downshifts on demand. Dont get the dumb auto comments.
