I actually like these way more than LCI, and also more than beady look... I like the essential mix of what the LCI M3 looks like pre-LCI headlights and LCI tail lights (those are coming in this week)

Yea I feel you. I just feel like if you don't like the beady look, the HID option would be better due to it being brighter and not having any gaps at all. When I got my OSS I thought the same thing until I compared it to an LCI and was pretty upset, because those things blow everything out of the water with their brightness and evenness! Lol. And I get you about the LCI tails, I just like it to be either a pre-LCI or LCI car (one or the other)

true about the LCI ae's though after looking at the Orion V4 I am pretty happy with the output, they are very even and way brighter than LCI ae's... can't go wrong with ones I just installed, I am fully satisfied! but your V2 you're right about the uneveness.. you can always upgrade!

looking at the pics...How come the outer rings leds look to be more in numbers and closer to the next one with little spacing, compared to the inner rings as it looks totally different??...I wonder why they didnt make both the same. Very strange they would do this. Both rings dont have any uniformity to them..It looks as though the only change from V2 to V4 is the outer ring and thats it...

Your right. The inner rings have more space bectween the LED's. Like that on mine as well.

Cbozz, I probably won't upgrade. Too much of a hassle for less spaces

I think the outer ones looks awesome and I am puzzled why they wouldnt make it the same to the inner ones with the newer V4! I could just imagine seeing these in person because the OSS outer ring was already blinding bright! These will be 10x brighter for sure..If I was in your shoes, I wouldnt upgrade either based upon what I stated with no uniformity of the two rings...Thats one thing I did notice on my friends cars with OSS V2 type rings..They were sooo much brighter than mine but looking at the two rings you can't tell the led separation on the outer ring, but the inner is clear as day the separation, and this will be more evident with V4

this is very evident from these pics of someone elses V4 install...pics 1-4 shows this lack of uniformity of the both led rings in terms of led spacing...IMO its a fail for anal folks like myself.

Wow! Look at that spacing! Your right about it being much more evident on the V4's. No doubt it's there on the V2's but the V4 exxagerates it.

Now I have some questions:

I checked online and I believe the price is 250ish. Correct? Please post the link if you can

How is it powered? Will I have to solder any cables, or is it plug and install?

How is it controlled? From the light switch or remote?

How did you clean the lens? And what paint did you use to paint the housing?

look at pix above for wiring, I wired it so it's PNP, they work like regular AE, there are no error codes, no flashing on start- up, they fade and dim when headlights are on!
