Good Indy shop in Denver?
Looking to find a good indy in Denver. My new ride has an extended maintenance policy through Nov-16. But any repairs are going to be on me. I've not heard great things about the dealer who is close to me (where I bought the car), so I am looking for recommendations on where to take it.
Thanks |

I took my e46 to import mechanics near downtown, Denver for a couple of issues that I couldn't sort out myself. Andy used to work on my car. Someone in e46fanatics referred me there and I was happy with the service.

I recommend Paddock Imports, off 6th and Inca. http://paddockimports.com/

Steve, remember me? TJ from e46 meets last year. I still am looking for another coupe since I sold my e46. Your car is on the top of my list, but right now looking for e92. |

This is my first BMW and the newest car I've ever owned. My previous daily was a '98 Land Cruiser, so I'm just scratching the surface on getting to know the new ride. Why would you select one indy over another based on the model? Just curious. |

I come at it from the point of view of someone who will eventually modify a car a lot. So even if I'm just having basic stuff done, I'm looking to start a relationship with whoever will help me out with my plans later. And doing little things is a great way to find out whether I would trust them with big things.
I haven't gone to AR enough to absolutely say they are my place for everything I will ever do on a 335, but so far my interactions have always been good. And they do seem to know what they are doing on 335s, which automatically puts them a step ahead of the competition in my opinion. So if all else is equal, I would just naturally start with them and only go somewhere else if they charge too much relative to the competition or annoyed me in some way. |

I would always go with Paddock over on 6th, they've always done great work for me! I highly recommend them. Took my E46 to them for multiple things, I have my E92 now and whenever I need anything I will go there.

Since AR makes AR Design downpipes, I'd say they do a great job.

I took my car to AR a couple times when Andrew was still there. He was a stand up guy and was 100% honest - long story short, he sent me to the dealer where he knew the mechanic even though I was just out of warranty and said they'd try to work something out. Saved me quite a bit of money. I have no experience with the new owner, but I recall a post from Rob having negative feelings about them.

I have always had good experiences with BimmerHaus. They are up in Broomfield, the crew there is very knowledgeable. I raced for their team for a few seasons, they do it right. Ask for Jim.

+1 on Paddock - although my only experience is with my wife's old 2006 325xi wagon. Sold my 335 before moving out to Denver. My coworker also used to take his 2003 M5 there before he moved to Greenwood Village - and he was the one who originally recommended them to me.

+1 more on Paddock! I just took my sisters 2006 330xi there for a wheel bearing and they did a fantastic job fixing it. They also let me know of what else was wrong with the car. I had two gaskets leaking, but an easy fix. I did not have the tools for the wheel bearing. When they were removing the old wheel bearing, the axel shaft was damaged. They let me know of the situation and still took care of me. They did a great job and I do trust them. I will probably take my vehicle here if there is something I cannot do to it.

Paddock has been great to work with so far. I imagine they'll win my business moving forward. Apparently they're moving soon (the old Robinson Dairy plant off of 6th and I-25), which is a good thing - they really need more space.
I called AR first last week when my car broke, and left a message. Still haven't received a call back. Quite disappointing. It's the second time this has happened since new ownership. Aaron seems like a good guy, but needs to get his act together. It's not that hard to return a phone call. |
