New Brake pads needed soon

My car has started showing signs of brake ware.
No light on the dash, but I wanted to plan ahead.

Can some recommend good pads, for a daily driver that have very little brake dust.
My rims need to be cleaned more than my black car.

Car is a 2007 335i Sedan auto.
Half and half city/highway.
Total of 88km per day weekdays.

I have always liked Hawk HPS (high perfoemance street) pads on my cars for daily use. Less dust that stock, excellent performance, and they play nicely with rotors that have been exposed to stock pads. I've used these on my previous BMW (an E36) and Audi S5, with good results.

I picked up Akebono pads and like them. Great pricing too.

I learned by reading here that the pad compound was changed in 2009. My 10 hardly makes any dust. I don't know if the later pads would fit the earlier years. If they would, I would recommend that option. Good luck.

However this is true that the initial bite isn't what it used to be.

True, but I can live without the initial bite as long as it stops when I really need it too. I find it stops as well as with the stock pads when mashing on it.

Really? I just picked up my CPO a month ago, and the dealer put new brakes on the car before I took delivery. My brakes dust more than any car I have ever owned; I have to wipe down the wheels every two days. If they did change the pad compound, I must have gotten a set of new old stock pads - I can't believe the 'old' compound could be worse than what i have now.

HPS/stoptech/akebono are not high end at all haha.....

I'm probably getting HPS when my rear brakes die out (soon)

I just searched and not much about Performance Ceramics out there. Seems like people either go for HPS with better stopping power with some dust, or if they want ceramic they just go for Akebono.

Cermaincs suck... They don't stop very well after you heat them up.. They feel mushy
