Oil Change Interval for High Mileage N54
My 08 335xi is approaching 115k miles now. Have been doing oil change every 5000 miles. Just wondering if I should shorten the interval to every 3000 miles instead. By the way, I also would like to know if our turbos are mostly oil or water cooled (I know both water and oil cools them but which one is more critical). Thanks in advance.

If you're using BMW recommended oil, I'd extend the drain interval instead of shortening it. 7500 is a good change interval unless you're driving at the track or hit >260d oil temps regularly. 3k would be a waste of oil and money imo.
