Engine Emmissions Control Lamp

Had a full service at the steelers two weeks ago (should have gone to Active, but convenience got the better of me as I live close to South Yarra BMW and had little time due to work)

Last week got the emmissions control lamp up so today I went back to steelers. They are telling me I need a new Oxygen Sensor - quote $900

I said forget it, can't afford it.

Any suggestions?

From my recent experience and what I came across in a lot of forums where people were told they needed to replace sensors 80-90% that pulled the sensor out and cleaned it had the issue resolve itself. You don't have anything to loose.

Not sure. It would depend on where the sensor is located and what needs to be pulled apart to get to it.
