please help advise me on buying a used 335i coupe
Hello everyone, a few days back I was asking for suggestions on buying a new 335i coupe but just recently I have come accross a used 08 335i coupe that I am really interested in. The price on the vehicle is roughly $40,000 and it has 13-14,000 miles. I would have to get a loan in order to purchase it but the interest rates are hardly worth the purchase because the total price nearly comes out to about $52000 with a 6% interest rate.
What are some suggestions for a good offer on the car without having to spend as much as a new 335i with similar specs? Thanks in advanced Specs: Gray exterior Coral Red leather Premium Pack. Sports pack. Navigation confort access -Basically fully loaded. Last edited by Vapor335; 08-29-2008 at 12:49 AM.. Reason: grammar |

Uh... A good offer on that car would be mid 30's. Here's why:
- 13k miles in one year (!) - Invoice on new car with that spec is roughly 47k Again, 13k miles in one year is a lot of miles. I dunno, I think I'd pass. |

Thanks for the quick reply mothodtim. You have been helping through my eagerness of buying a 335i, I appreciate it . Do you think that if I got it for $40,000 including the total financing is a good deal or should I just wait for something else because at this point it doesnt look like i will be getting the new one I initially wanted

$40k seems a little much for a used 335i (especially with 13K+ on it). I did ED and got a NEW 335i for like $39k before tax. If you're looking in that price range, you might be better off buying ED new. (This way you'll have a newer model year, better resale, and piece of mind in that the car has never been used/abused... unless it was by you. )
*Sure, you have to go to Germany, but if you book a round trip ticket for like $800, and go there for a weekend, you'd still be saving several thousand dollars on a NEW car. And while you're at it... throw in navigation, it'll help the resale later on. (A mistake I made.)
