I dont mean a 3 hr blitz, I'm talking a 8-30hr detail.

It takes 3 hours just to properly wash, clay, and prepare for paint correction on most vehicles fyi.

People can charge whatever people are willing to pay. Sometimes the premium is worth it and sometimes it's highly questionable...like hyping up products (and process) to jack up the price to lolamounts. However, generally speaking the guys that I've seen do a comprehensive job do charge in the hundreds (for long, long somepeoplefinditfunbutireallydont hours) for proper paint correction...although I could see the polish time being cut down drastically with two or more proficient guys working on the car simultaneously with rotaries.

yup, but they have to know what they are doing and now they are making 1/2 as much.

I would recommend Brian aka SpeedFreak on these forums - he did and incredible job on my car. I posted a thread about it in this forum with before/after and in process pics.

Took about six hours and it wasn't even his highest package. I was entirely satisfied for what I received for the price and honestly thought for the amount of effort he puts in, he could even charge double and it's still a great value.

Raja has been taking care of my baby from day one for the past year and half. On the day I picked up my car from the dealership, I immediately dropped off the car to Raja to install the Ventureshield. Since then, I've had Raja detail my car a couple of times, most recently this past weekend. Other times, I'll wash and detail my car (for those that complain about the cost, think of how much time you would have to spend doing it yourself without f*cking it up - but also how much you paid for your car!)

Raja's work is flawless.

This past Sunday when I was driving around, my baby got a lot of glances. I ran into friends who thought I just bought the car!

These are pictures of the car from May:

In between detailings, I use Photoshop to clean the car.

I can do better than him myself.

DJ Mayo is a legend and one of the best detailers in the country. If you had a problem, I am sure he would have it taken care for you.

+ 1. I was a client of DJs for several years when he was first starting out. At the time his work was excellent and reasonably priced. Now his work has slipped, his prices have gone up siginificantly, and he's only interested in high end botique work.

If it's a $1,500 or $2,000 detail on a Lambo then yes you're right. However for the majority of the crowd on these forums and the bulk of customers out there looking for a solid $200-$400 detail, I don't think DJ is the best option.

+1 for Raja! I was looking for a new detailer as my other posts will indicate and decided to give Raja a call. I contracted with him to do my Mom's Acura RDX as a Christmas present and my newly purchased 328i. Raja impressed me on all levels. His communication, work ethic, attention to detail, and overall product provided for the price was/is unbeatable. I will definitely be using Raja going forward.

Raja-Please post pics of the RDX and I'll shoot to get some posted of mine when I have a chance.
