In the replica market you have two great companies making CSL wheels Velocity and Miro - both have had slightly different approaches to their designs. Velocity has come out with a ton of options and a new one with a 19x10. Both companies have the certification and use a low pressure casting method and have the customer service to back them up. We've been supporting the two companies for a long time. Velocity also has more colors, Miro only comes in the hypersilver like the OEM. Miro's front wheel offsets is a ET35 which is more agressive then the Velocity front wheels so it sits nicer. Miro was the first to initially release an ET33 rear wheel which Velocity now offest as well.

There are differences in designs but both are great options for people in the market.

As mentioned in the thread - there are also other forged designed wheels - they should be stronger but will obviously cost more.

There have been other CSL reps in the market - as a retailer we have evaluated some(not all) and rejected some that we felt would not benefit our customers.

Concavity is the selling point on the VMRs, none of the other companies can come close:

This is largely the reason most forums members are running VMRs.

Aaand there's always Powerwheels Pro. I'd love to hear some more input from E90 drivers. They seem to be quite popular with the E46 crowd. Check them out here

The main reason why most forums members run VMRs is not because of the concavity, is because for years they were the only ones carrying the CSL reps.

That's not true, lots of companies and come and go here on the forums. There's even eBay for those looking for the cheapest price out there with no regards to quality. However, we're looking forward to seeing what comes to the plate.

We've chosen VMR as our only wheel manufacturer due to quality and constantly improving through customer feedback. This is a primary reason why VMR will remain our only wheel manufacturer.

Trust me, we've had plenty of offers.

Correct! Our wheels are JWL, VIA, & factory is ISO approved. Manufacturing is done in a facility that produces higher-end Japanese and OEM wheels for vehicles in the U.S. and may I add, they are track tested locally too!

We have been serving the BMW & Audi community for over 4 years and we have never backed down on quality customer service. I can't think of a single product in the world that is 100% free of defects or issues, this is also why our cars come with warranty. Aside from that its also the follow thru and how issues are handled. Regardless, the sale does not stop when someone sends us an order - we monitor shipments & resolve issues such as delays or damage claims. In fact, dealing with shipping issues has created a full time position in itself. After the product arrives, our staff is still reachable for any technical issues or concerns. Regardless, between our sales & support staff, our office hours span 18 hours each day. Outside of the office we are still answering emails and keeping up with the community.

We do appreciate the opportunity to serve this community. If anyone has any questions, dont hesitate to contact me directly at charles@velocitymotoring.com

On the integrity of the VMR- I hit a DEEEP pothole on the Interstate while going 85 mph. The force of the hit was incredible, strong enough to deploy sidecurtain and doorside airbags, (scare my wife to death) and blow my left front and rear tires. It did bend the front rim enough to make me want to replace it but not the rear. If the rims were more expensive, I think I could have had the front one repaired but elected to replace it.

From this experience, I would say that the VMR rims held up very well and passed a major integrity test. I would definitely buy them again. With Michelin PS2s, they are as smooth as glass on the road.

That is a tad aggressive for your car, I recommend a 19x9.5 ET33, ET30 would be about the most aggressive I would go on the E92 non-M.

If you subject your car to the kind of force necessary to bend one of these wheels, you will have a whole host of more significant problems to deal with. They don't bend easily - trust me.
I have had a set of VMRs and they are bent to hell. There are multiple bends in the inner lips on every wheel, and one of them is also bent axially (put it on the balancing machine and you can see it wobble). To quote the tire guy when I changed them out "this thing must have ridden like a shopping cart." I NEVER hit anything on the road other than regular road irregularities. Not a single curb or significant pothole. Many of the bends in the lip areas show no signs of any contact damage (though some do).

My new miros also already have a few small inner lip bends as well. They are 3 months old. I seriously don't buy that this is only happening to me. I have been even more careful with this set....scanning the road ahead like a hawk and slowing down for anything that looks like an imperfection. I cringle when I go over regular road irregularities like patched potholes because that's the roughest thing my car sees and it continues to bend wheels, despite wider tires and more air pressure than with the VMRs. Pressures are checked often and are always in spec.

I thought that 265/30-19" was the most common combination with the 9.5x19"-rims...?
But maybe I´m wrong?

Yeah they are pretty popular, but some guys want to go with a larger tire, then roll fenders just so they can put a bit more rubber down.

It's usually suggested to stick to the 265 size tire, but honestly if you want that 275, go for it, but be prepared to roll fenders.
