Hey guys I wanted to let you know we will be going to no problem on the 18th for a porsche club track day/DE. I can try to get some of you guys some rides in the car if all goes well. It's a lot of fun so if you can make the trip you should come. And if you really want it cost 125 bucks I think, and you can be put in a run group and I want to say its 6 30 min runs. Hope to see some of you guys there! I'll keep everyone posted on the latest info.

So the only option to drive is pay the $125? Or are there options just to race once or twice? This sounds like a lot of fun to me, I have always wanted to drive on their track.

No you can come for free and just watch and I can try to get you a ride in one of our cars. Or you can pay and have 6, 30 minute sessions. It is not racing, it is a DE(driver's education)and you will have an instructor in your car. Those who refer to it as racing are somewhat frowned upon.

Oh ok, when I thought of a track I figured there would be multiple cars out there at once racing. They don't ever do that there? Seems like it would be ok sense it's on a track.

Dude, you are doing some searching...enough all ready, pull the trigger and start modding. 60K is a little high in my book. 30K better on a 2007/2008.

Timing for manual shifts

Todd et al.,
I have been experimenting with the various driving modes (there are six in the 335is). My car really moves when I drive in Manual using the paddle shifters and have the Sport mode engaged. My question is what are the optimal shift times for the seven gears. By feel and engine sound, 3500 rpm seems about right for shifting, but I noticed some people don't shift until 4500 rpm...any thoughts for me and my DCT???

yeah I know I know. I want something specific and I'm not settling on a vehicle this time. I'm going to get EXACTLY what I want.

This one had everything I wanted, color (interior/exterior), accessories (sports package, idrive, etc) 6 spd. But just more miles then I wanted. I was looking at nothing over 45K on the vehicle. And that put it at the "normal" amount of yearly miles on a vehicle. But I just got the car fax and it was a manufacture buy back or lemon reported. So that one is scratched and its on to the next one.

Hey you found one from donohoo. Just call them and they will give you the carfax right there. I'm telling you those people are awesome. If you go there you will be amazed at their facility. That used car dealership is nice than both of the bmw dealerships here in south LA.

Well If I am really spirited driving I wind her out all the way to 6000. But just driving around town I shift at around 3500. May be different with the DCT but thats what I do with my 6MT.
