Lol yeh we did get a bit off topic with our d vs 6cyl debate so back to the op,

With a budget of 20-30k I would be looking at a clean e46, or save up some more money..

Hey Lazydesi

Hope no one got booked for the long weekend.

I really strongly 1000% recommend a iDrive, i can't live without iDrive.
Why not try this one and nego down to $30k

http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...7079&silo=1011

but keep it in mind though the 07/pre lci 115kw - 0 to 100=8.9s compare to the 09/LCI which is 130kw, 8s.

Not exactly the fast car you are looking for but with bluefin/superchip you can get it close to 7-7.6s.

How about an E46 330 Coupe. Nice shape with plenty of power.

On the 320d from memory there's two versions of the diesel motor. The second released around two years ago with more power an torque.

I wanted to drive a 325 last year, the BMW salesman said why when the 320d is better. Unfortunately there was no 325s to try. The 320d had enough grunt.

A manual 325 would be great drivers car. As others said with higher kms estimate more for maintenance. Most cars if looked after will last a long time.
