Exhaust
Well chaps the pile of parts is piling up in the corner of my office while I try to find time to take the car down to the shop for a fitting. The only problem is while I wait i keep finding more things to add to the list, which in turn delays the fitting process....
Anyway, today I had the grand thought of getting a full exhaust (excluding DP's, I have them already in the corner) so I contacted the ever helpful Harold from HPA but he said the freight would kill me. So I would welcome suggestions from anyone (well except any fucker who drives a toyota) as to where i sould look locally for an exhaust for a 335. I did quite like the borla for $1,135.00 |

I was thinking of seeing if .... say ETS would sell me their full system minus the 2 full length 3" pipes ....... hoping to effectively get the mufflers and tail pipes for under $1,000 and then have the 3" mandrel pipes made locally.......
Any way just bought the 5" ETS FMIC today as per our pms ....so that will do me for now..... ....not sure if I should have posted...... I have a Prado..... (with a Taipan exhaust ) Quote:

Just put the down pipes on first and see how the standard exhaust sounds like.
That's what I did. if you have a procede, then it will sound great and you may not need another exhaust at all. In Sydney there was a member, Ha66is who had a quad pipe one which he replaced with a BMW performance one. (I was thinking of getting it, but too many other expenses atm) |

all the gains power wise are to be had in the downpipes, changing midpipes can also yield a healthy 10-15kw as well... the rear muffler doesn't do much for power but purely dictates looks/noise (or lack there of if you want something quieter).
So do you have any branded ones in mind? Eg: 1. AR DPs (~$900 landed) 2. Berk Midpipes (~$900 landed) 3. Rear muffler delete ($250-400) with your choice of nice tips... That'll be a very loud setup! |
