Mod friendly dealers in Wisconsin?

Are there any mod friendly dealers in Wisconsin? I live in the Madison area and am thinking about getting FMIC but am worried about warranty. Thanks!

The Shop manager Mike at Zimbrick (big guy) isn't too bad if you talk to him upfront. When I lived there I just went back to Chicago for service. Knauz in Lake Bluff is about 2 hrs from you but for regular stuff maybe worth the trip. Maybe one of the places in Milwaukee would be good too?

By talk to him upfront, just let him know what you have done to the car or what? I have an extended warranty through Premier Performance which was sold by BMW so it's not the CPO warranty, so not sure if they care as much or not. All the dealer has to do is report what is wrong with the car and the warranty covers it.

Concours seems more laidback than International Autos, but that's not saying much.

Just go in if/when you have warranty work needed and speak to him upfront about your car and what needs to be done. As long as its not a problem relating to a mod you have on it you'll be fine. I've had 2 highly modded newer BMW's and never had an issue there when I needed to bring it in for something - even though I did my service in Chicago.

If you need any local info...feel free to PM me. I can probably answer and direct you to most of your car needs, especially in town. If you're worried about your warranty and anything you put on the car, my advice would be just take it off before the dealer visit. That way you don't have anything to worry about. Zimbrick (like any other dealer), though extremely nice, will need clearance from corporate for big fixes. So BE CAREFUL! Small things like oil changes, fluid top offs, damaged trim, basic maintenance, and other crap like that, yeah mods are ok no need to worry about it. Your check engine light pops up, whole different story! Power mods will definitely need to come off the car!
