i found out today that it runs great in map1 when cold. As soon as i get up to operating temp it starts giving me problems. Missfire cyl 6- limp mode.
When the car gets up to operating temp it runs WOT with the jb4 disabled with no problems, but gives me the same symptoms in map1 and map5. I havent tried map2 yet but i cant imagine it would be any different.

What would cause missfires/limp mode in just cyl 6 with the jb on JUST at operating temp? (2 hash marks below 250 on the temp gague)

I havent gotten around to swapping coil packs yet. I know thats the next reasonable step, but im sure it will make no difference.

Any thoughts?

Swap coil packs, if that doesn't fix it, you probably need a fuel injector.

A JB4, like any tune, will bring to light any weaknesses in your car such as plugs, coils, or injectors. Capture a log and post it to the support forum on n54tech and someone should be able to point you in the right direction. But it does sound like a weak coil on cylinder 6. The JB4 won't actually increase boost until your oil is up to temp which is why things are fine when your car is cold.

One thing you can do rule out a faulty fuel injector is to remove the coil in cylinder 6 with the one in cylinder 5. If you get a code for a misfire in cylinder 5, you know you have a faulty coil and not a faulty injector.
