Which one should I get, because the RPI ones are literally twice as much......So I figure I'd ask for some inputs and/or suggestions.

There is also another one that has two slots in the back of the scoops I guess is to help redirect the rain or water when/if it gets in there. But I've read that that's not really an issue, so I've narrowed it down to the MFD scoops or the RPI scoops.

Anything to prove this or a link.

Even a stock airbox setup scoops can add someting of real world/ on road performance increase, getting more and cooler air for the intake to choose from.

with a DCI setup its DEF. a must to get cooler and more air to the DCI.

They give you like...50hp at 3345234623451345435mph.

They're just cosmetic. Some people claim butt dyno results at over 70mph, but those people all order their blinker fluid from the same place.

Cyba scoops are $39 shipped, plus they have slots for the water to drain out. Of course they work, since they are pushing more air into the intake. How much of a gain is debatable. They cant hurt.

When you say this i am not sure if your speaking if they gain hp when using the stock intake system or a DCI system.

With a DCI they are NEEDED to get air into and to the DCI.

Read a thread i have made on it. The stock snorkel works with a pressuirzed system using the stock airbox, that is how it gets air up and into the snorkel.

+1 for cyba scoop, cheap! if not, MFD scoop are easier to install.... and i think Rpi scoop needs to drill holes

Did you ever get the dyno numbers with and without the scoops to prove that it actually MADE a difference?

I talked to JBSpeed about the RPI scoops and they use the existing screw holes on the car, so no holes need to be drilled.

Somehow I think that by having slits in the back of the scoops will decrease the air flow a little because won't some air escape out of those slits?

LOL, same here, my DCIs are dirrrrty. For some reason, it gets dirtier faster than some Injen DCIs......So does that mean that my DCI is sucking in 'more' air(or debris)? If so, that can't be a bad thing, right?

The filter looking 'dirtier' or 'blacker' is from the oil on the cotton on the filter picking up dirt particles. At this point, the filters effectivness is decreased and should be cleaned by using a specific type cleaner like a K&N recharge kit.

As for dynos, i do not have a dyno showing they gain HP with
DCI and scoop setup.

- Dyno with this setup will ony work with DCI and the hood closed, than scoops installed with the hood closed.

The scoops will only further the on road performance if you understand how the stock intake track/system gets its fresh/cool air. Once DCI are installed the stock system use of getting fresh air is compromised. DCI is needed to get cooler and more air to the DCI. This will increase performance and help keep IAT down.

I will try to do some before and after data logs for real on road conditions with them installed.

for sure I'm going to clean it asap....So the Injen DCI are dry and not oiled is that why it hasn't shown much dirt?

Scoops are not there to increase the power, they makes the power consistent.
That's a very important aspect.
And with a heat shield around the DCI's the scoops are doing an even better job.

$75 shipped.
there in mint condition.
they def. helped in keeping the enging temps down like 5 degrees i felt like. I can send you pics if you like. I was gonna put them up in the for sale section.

The scoops are the scoops IMHO. They are all pretty much the same (configuration and install). So, if they do work performance wise - doesn't matter which ones to get, the cheaper the better. Cyba scoops are $39 shipped. I got them for this price just to test. If they don't work - $39 is not a big deal...

Cyba is the only one I know with water slots as well. I dont know why anybody would pay more then $39 for a piece of sheet metal. Lol, some of these vendors are making a killing on the super over priced scoops.
