Slipping all weather floormat...any solutions?

I have the OEM all weather floormats over the flimsy floormats the dealership gave me with the car. The all weather floormats came with instructions and it appears that you have to removed the flimsy one to hold it in place since it uses the 2 holes for hooks that are under the mats the dealership gave me.

I like the idea of putting the rubber floormats over the ones that the dealership gave me better, but of course doing so, I can't secure the rubber mat and I find that sometimes it gets caught up by the clutch pedal so when I switch gear, the clutch would return a bit slower than normal. Any solutions you guys have for this?

I was thinking that maybe I can put velcro in between the 2 mats to keep them together.

velcro pads in between would help.

What I did was I moved the rubber mat forward so it didnt get caught on the clutch pedal and that seemed to solve all my problems. It might not look right but it works well.
