I went back to v400 after several weeks with v401. v400 throttle mapping seems a bit more aggressive than v401. No issues with either but I like the feel of 400 more. This was v401 stage 1+ sport ST vs same version of v400.

I ran v400 1+ aggressive ST for a while, then went to v401 sport (91 octane gas issues + warmer weather). Felt very sluggish comparatively. Then left it there for a few weeks. Then tried v400 sport yesterday and it felt much stronger, almost as good as v400 aggressive.

I went from Stage 1 V401 to Stage 1+ V401 with the install of exhaust and intercooler.

I gain a lot of midrange power but lost high end power. Very noticable lose on high rpm.

Had different result for me

Stage 2+ Aggressive v401 ST feels better then V400 - they could be the same and is a placebo effect but I am happy either way

I've got these codes
P2AAF - fuel pump plausibilty

P2DED - Power management: quiescent current violation

I think the first is pretty common but not sure about P2DED.

St 1 aggressive, v4.01

Edit; I think i left the AP plugged in while the car was off.

Actually even though logs (and feel) showed nothing wrong with the V401 maps, I was throwing tons of codes. H29f4,f5, 2adb, and more... So I just went back to 4.00 since they were working great. No codes with 4.00

I should probably let COBB about this...

Yeah I'm sure you are right on stage 2+. I think the really new area for maps were the stage 1+ FMIC. And there were many people with issues on them, v400. So (wild guess here) I think Cobb dialed back on the top end on 401 beta, and made the throttle milder, until they could iron out the issues and really make it perform.

I base this assertion on the fact that Dr Dirt had Cobb dyno his car with 301 and 401 stage 1+. While it made a ton more power low rpms, at mid-high rpm 301 walked all over it. Which makes zero sense. I thought about this for a while and the only thing I could come up with was they put in a fix in beta 401 versions until they could debug the customer issues (only with certain ECU's and under certain conditions).

Hoping Cobb chimes in here at some point, there is no other explanation for why a map for aftermarket intercooler can make seriously more TQ down low and then much less up high than a map for stock IC.

ANYWAY this is part of why I went back to try v400 again.

Forgot to mention that I was getting some timing drops with 4.01 while had none at all with 4.00... same conditions

i have the I8A0S and looking for Stg2+FMIC Sport maps
IF you have those..could you pm those or mail to paapaa33@hotmail.com

people have different feelings about v.301 and v.400 and 4.01
if v4xx is more powerfull, then v301 should be safer to use? would be nice to really know, what is best choice, because i dont really trust my own butt feelings on this

Thanks for the reply RaihaX...loaded them just a bit ago and took a quick 30 min drive...mostly freeway cruising but I let her open up a few times and it "feels" good...Will take some logs tomorrow and see how good it REALLY looks..
