The only giac log I saw was Mr.5s and it had timing drops. Where are all these giac logs?

^^ Same here. I'll try to get some more logs this weekend to see how it feels on the 202 map. I actually switched down to 201 because i feel like 202 doesn't have as much power in the lower rpms.

ill be going to the track again tomorrow. Last time I tested 200 and 201 which resulted in 112 and 111 traps. This time ill go on 202 to see if there's any difference. Seat of the pants says no though lol

I think its a safe bet at the track they will probably perform about the same. Its part throttle driving that is where the biggest change occurs. To me 202 (regular) feels almost stock unless you give it more throttle input.

That's really weird. To me 2.02 (regular) is the most aggressive map yet! The 2.02 v2 map feels mostly stock till I put my foot all the way down.

I wonder if there has been some sort of a cock-up in the map naming from Cobb... A lot of people are reporting different things about 2.02 std and v1, v2 variants.

+1 on the 2.02 v2 Map. I actually really like this map (initially I hated it), it's not jerky in 1st, 2nd gear when you give it a bit too much gas. The power seems quite linear to the accelerator pedal position. When I want full power, I peg it, and it's there RIGHT AWAY. For day to day driving, I'm actually seeing some drastic reductions in fuel consumption.

^ Clear the code and check again. It's telling you your oil level is low.

Thats what I am experiencing also (2.02 std, 6MT), a stutter and a then vibration when floored in higher gears, then the power smoothes out and the car goes. The power and smoothness are there with this tune but these issues concern me.

Find somebody with a BT Scanner (or buy one if you didn't already) and scan/clear any codes (as well as shadow fault codes) before dealer visit.

Every time I uninstall the AP, it leaves a SES light on the dash, and a usually a slew of fault codes. These codes did NOT show up on the AP for some reason:

5E19 - DSC: Engine management interface

D357 - DSC: No Message (gearbox 186)
D356 - DSC: No Message (engine 170)
D355 - DSC: No Message (engine 169)
D354 - DSC: No Message (engine 168)

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with re-coding of the DSC system (when it gets re-flashed back to stock).
One of the codes (I forget which one) would not clear, so I had to wait for the car to go into sleep mode, then reset adaptions on one of the controllers (instructions in the Bavarian Technic wiki)

Not saying anything negative about COBB or any tuning company, but just shows that it's a very good idea (I would say mandatory) to have a BT scan cable + netbook/laptop available at all times.
I would personally never rely solely on tunes to view/clear codes.

I highlighted the P2F71 code with the AP and it was labeled "e-box fan control".

Any ideas?

You had two codes that you indicated in your previous post:

P2401: Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Control Circuit Low

P2A13: DMTL diagnosis module tank leakage,
leakage diagnosis pump, input signal

Doing a google search reveals some useful information:

The DMTL pump is a self diagnostic tool used to test the fuel tank and evap system for a good seal. It activates under certain situations (fuel tank over 1/4, tank pressure less than xx, stuff like that). What the code suggests is that there is not necessarily a problem with the pump itself (which is actually common on these) but with the circuit that controls it. When the ECU commands the pump on, it looks at tank pressure sensors to determine whether or not the pump is working. If it doesn't see any pressure at all, it flags a code (the code you have) for an activation problem. If the pump was faulty, usually the code would just say faulty pump or something similar because the pumps usually still pressurize a slight bit. Sorry for the novel but to answere your question, a DMTL pump is possibly at fault but the circuit needs to be checked first.

P2401 is probably the DMTL pump , you need to run a tank leak test ( only capable with a GT1 , carsoft , or Inpa ) .DMTL pumps fail ALOT and cause the evap system to set a fault code for evap leak.

Hope the above help. I would make sure that you have reverted back to your stock flash and take it to the dealer if the codes come back. Also, make sure your gas cap is fully tighten. I don't know how this could be tune related but it may be possible, I guess.

GL,
Jim

You don't have to run the Cobb flash to read and clear codes with the AP. There is no need for the BT tool. Just plug it in and read/clear the codes.
