if you want 500whp+ than you'll need Meth and Race gas. Thats what that white 335 you race had...
With E85 you COULD lean out cause of the extra boost. You should be able to make the massive torq but not the high rpm HP when running a e85 mix alone. |

So if you upgrade the LPFP would running 100% e85 give you those numbers or do you still need meth/race gas?

E85 is great but mpg drops so much when you get into high mixtures of it. If you literally dont have a e85 station within 10 miles, then running 50% or more e85 is just crazy. Because more than likely you'll be filling up twice a week. On pump gas I get about 21mpg, on a 20% e85 mix I get 19.5mpg, on about a 80% e85 mix I was getting 15mpg. If I had to throw out a number I'd say a car running RB turbo with e85 mixture would not be able to break 500whp. It would break 500wtq easily. |

I would guess it would lean out much sooner if I upped the methanol mix. Don't think it really matters though, I was running near 15 degrees of timing in the mid-range on that E45 mix and nary a peep out of my knock sensors, so there is a bit of diminishing returns at play here.

Just noticed you said with just E85, in that case I agree....without meth it would be hard to get 500Hp I would imagine.

We tickled 499whp on a light E30 E85 mixture + RB's 19psi midrange to 17psi up top. No lean out issues but didn't push our luck. 263whp baseline.

That's great power there! With meth I would imagine 525+

Was that on the stock fuel system? If the RBs can produce high 400's on a e85 mix without meth, this would be a route I would like to eventually go with.

I tried it but leaned out at but I could have had a weak fuel pump.

Max out fuel trims, not enough octane/fuel
