Roc Euro DCI review

Wanted something a bit different so got the Roc Euro intake. I love it, the quality is mazing, has a nice chrome lip and couplers and intake have larger openings than most intakes. Has great sound and Overall a great product.

Note: Couplers are usually powder coated, I wanted brushed metal look....wanted something different lol!!

Roc Euro shipped the same day and has great customer service.

Engine cover looks really nice too. How do they compare in overall size to the BMS cones?

they are a bit bigger! The opening of the CPE is the size of the bms.

You can get the same ones as BMS in red or blue from sbfilters.com. I just bought a set in blue for $70 shipped!

If you develop a little back and forth and order some other stuff as well that price decreases even more.

I thought you meant substantially cheaper like theyre was a knock off version lol not $10...still way overpriced for a dci

robc sorry to threadjack, the roc euro ones look great and that montego engine cover looks sick!

Yea sorry OP, btw those intakes look much better than the regualr DCI.
Also, yes the ETS is expensive but is still cheaper than injen. The main reason i bought them is for how they look. Nothing worse than popping your hood and having people see 2 filters jammed in too small of a space. IMO the regular DCI is a too cheap and ghetto looking even though it does the job just fine.

OP these new roc euro intakes do a much better job of positioning the intakes in a cleaner way.

Installed Roc-Euro DCI's yesterday after a great walnut blasting see: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=915172 for more details and a great review of the wonders of walnut blasting.

I love this intake already, it sounds amazing and would match the OP (robc1976)'s engine cover, etc perfectly. There is an amazing intake noise that i believe is due to the velocity stack sort of design that brings the large intake radius at the base and tapers it w/stainless steel to bring it to stock inlet size. this should creates sort of a half venturi effect and aside from all the technical stuff, in any gear at even half throttle it sounds amazing between 2-4k and the car has absolutely gained probably more than 15hp throughout parts of the power band.

OP, how long did your original cone last for? Roc-Euro is running a good deal on these right now for about 100 bucks, maybe they'd consider a group buy.

interesting question, theres more surface area on the cone, so i have to imagine the CFM is higher, I dont think the other DCI's are at some sort of asymptote for CFM going into engine. At the very least the tapper will speed up the air and make it sound even better. i'm loving the whooooosh sound down low, and the increased power up top.

The tapering should increase the velocity of the air entering so to an extent it should increase air flow.

Looks so tempting, wonder how these perform against others like BMS, AFE and Injen.

I want to hear it. Their intake for the s4 sounded ridiculous, granted it was supercharger whine, but the other intakes for the s4 did not produce the same results.

thats what i said... more cfm = more airflow; not being at asymptote means more airflow can occur, sorry for not being more clear.

I'll try to upload a video after thanksgiving but it does sound ridiculous, in the cabin you can clearly hear the intake swallowing air at half throttle in any gear - sounds great.
