String of Bad Luck!
Hey.
Ever since I moved back to the East coast I can't seem to catch a break. While in Arizona I never seemed to see rain, now I can't seem to see the sun. All this rain caused my basement to flood. Woot! Lucky me, a finished basement with brand new carpet.....totally soaked! Then driving to work this morning, some sort of flying metal plate takes a huge chunk out of my front driver side door. Anybody with suggestions for a good body shop that could help me fix the gash? It's about 3mm deep and 5 inches long, and 4mm wide. I'm in the Rockville area. |

Rajiv,
that totally sucks. Trust me, I have lived here for long time but this year the rain has been notorious. This is not usual. I am sorry to hear about the flood in your basement. That must be very annoying. As for the paint, i would suggest Wagonwerks in Jefferson Davis hwy, VA. They are good but a bit pricey. I am sure you want your car to be brand new, so might want to check them out. Sending some good luck ur way bro. |

Called VOB, will take my car there this evening for a true estimate. They certainly seem to like to quote on the high side. $2500...wow...
Thanks for well wishes....I will take it....haha, I know I need it. I'll call Wagonwerks too, Thanks Raja. I tried calling Jason a few times when I need my short shifter fixed, but never could get a hold of him. |

You are not alone on the basement. I was using a half bath for some extra storage. I had pergo flooring down throughout the basement. The bolt and washer that holds the tank on the toilet started a slow drip that I never noticed until the seams on the pergo were bubbling up and when I walked on the floor water would come up through the seams.
What a waste of $ and stupidity on my part in the choice of flooring (about 8 years ago). Ceramic tile going down in the near future. |
