Battery change/registration

I am installing a new battery tomorrow with a different cca rating. My new battery is 900, the original is 720. What do I need to change?

I have a BT cable, and will just register with the wrong cca otherwise.

Thanks in advance!

Battery will require registration. I don't know about your BT adapter but this can be done by:

Tool32
INPA
ISTA
DIS

If its just the cold cranking amps difference I don't believe you'll need to code it. However if its a different AH rating you'll need to change your VO to reflect this then code to default.

E B046 BATT_46AH //46 Ah-Batterie
E B055 BATT_55AH //55 Ah-Batterie
E B070 BATT_70AH //70 Ah-Batterie
E B080 BATT_80AH //80 Ah-Batterie
E B090 BATT_90AH //90 Ah-Batterie
E A070 BATT_AGM_70AH //70 Ah-AGM Batterie
E A080 BATT_AGM_80AH //80 Ah-AGM Batterie
E A090 BATT_AGM_90AH //90 Ah-AGM Batterie

e.g. if your current battery is rated at 70Ah you'd need to add A090 to the VO for a 90Ah one.

So just change the VO? What else.

Thanks

1 - Remove old battery entry from VO e.g. -B090 and add new entry e.g. -A090 to VO/FA and code to CAS and FRM using NCSexpert.

2 - Code module to default VO

3 - Register new battery using toolset32

4 - Read IBS code pages using INPA where it will indicate the mileage the battery was replaced (verifying registration).

That is just a summary. There are detailed guides all over the net.
