Updated 2010 vs 2010

*** should be finalizing deal on my car today so in the meantime the search has continued*** (new car link towards bottom posts)
Sup folks... I found these two cars online.

2010 335i 47k in Miles 6MT... Cold/Prem/Sports nav red interior pretty nice 1 owner Warranty expires in 6 months or 2k miles. Asking price $29,950 here is the link

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...acktype=usedcc

Car # 2

2008 335i 20k in miles 6MT COLD WEATHER PKG SPORT PKG PREMIUM PKG No nav No warranty due to date. 2 owners... carfax checks out..

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...ngId=111143587
&tracktype=usedcc

I'd like to pick something up before may however being that I want a coupe, pref 2009 under 50k in Miles... sports/nav in a 6MT... my chances are slim. budget is 28k however I can stretch it...

Keep searching or go take a look? im about an hour away.

the 2010 car isn't CPO'd?? 2k mile warranty is basically useless. and an 08 even with low miles is useless in my opinion too if it has no warranty. I would never buy a used car of any brand without a legit factory warranty on it.

my advice is keep searching. a $28k purchase, whether you're super balling or not, should not be spent on something you "settle" for.

I'd definitely go with the '10 over the '08. Keep in mind that 09+ idrive was significantly improved as well, so if you are looking nav, keep that in mind.

The first car has too many miles for the year and not enough warranty left. The second is overpriced even with the low miles i would say 25k max. if you want navi and 6mt you should keep looking...

Agreed.

Navi isn't that important, esp if you have a smart phone. You really dont need to pay a premium for a navigation system. Just buy a phone mount and get a bluetooth A2DP adapter for <100.

It is an overpriced option when new but i feel its more than a navi system its a way to see your ipod menus and contents on a big screen. Having the L7 eq menus and car info accessible there is pretty nice too- Lastly, i think the interior looks really plain without it..

I agree I love iDrive and I rarely ever use the navigation. The Nav will be nice when needed though.

Honestly I wouldn't buy a BMW without iDrive now that I've had it.

I would do the 2010, knock the price down a bit and add an additional 3yr up to 100,000mile BMW EVP gold plan. You can do zero % financing for 12months if you don't have the cash up front. The piece of mind a BMW warranty gives you is worth it. I have never had anything turned down with a BMW plan, but heard many stories of aftermarket plan rejections and its a headache dealing with it.

I love this color setup (which is why I ended up buying mine I guess). I think I like the carbon/black trim better than the silver too; have to look at changing that on mine.

+1 on the idrive; once you have it, you'll love it for all the little things

Beware of the 2010 base sound system

Beware of the 2010 base sound system
Its and ampless tweeterless POS.
2010 and the first few months of 2011 production were the only US
cars that got this system . If you like stereo you will hate the car.
L7 is the only decent sound system in this year unless you get the one above that which is a rare item.

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...t=disappointed

The 2010 was deconntented and cheapened.
See the above thread.

The '10 is a great deal. You're getting Nav + newer iDrive and IMO the '09+ LCI looks much better.
