Gotta factor in driving style and sort of roads
I was getting 6.8L/100 driving to and from Uni (Out of a 330d) but as soon as traffic, short trips for food and detours to pick up brother my fuels gone back up to high 8's |

The fuck? My e36 325i gets ~13.5L/100km pretty consistently. Admittedly I'm not the most placid of drivers, but even when I drive as calmly as possible the absolute lowest it'll go is 12L/100km. Could this be the O2 sensor or something?

I get like 450-470kms a tank. cbf to see how many l/100kms that is. But yeh 320i economy for me isn't great which is why I now regret not doing d.

Been getting 10.6L consistently (measured during fill ups) for the past month. Mixed city/highway driving with peak several times a week. There's no need to floor it during times of traffic but I do open her up when I get out of the CBD. It shows after I completely burned through a set of rear brake pads and 4 tyres after 26,000kms

I had a 320i loaner for a few days recently.
Driving to work, here and there at lunch time and then home again through inner western Sydney I was getting high 11's. Not driving for economy, but hardly thrashing it. Using 98RON. Similar pace will net mid-12's in the 325i and high 7's in the 320dT. And while the 325i is no powerhouse, OMG was I glad to get it back.

I ripped through fuel in a 320d loaner I had. A good 1/3 - 1/2 tank in one day. o.O I assume it would be better if I drove in an extremely civilised manner.

Trust a ****'s student not to think of something so simple. They're only taught how to count to 15.

Ah...So informative until you all gang-raped this thread.. =P
I might keep the e46 for a while then until the 08 models start to depreciate, especially since the f30 will be out in the near future. |
