Mod dilemma

Was looking for some advice from the experts here.

About to purchase PROcede and only have enough money left to get either a FMIC or new exhaust.

Which should i go for?

^+1, go with meth since that will allow you to get the most performance with the Procede..

Do you have an intake already? You will need more air to feed the engine.

Wow...I would have thought you would recommend the dp first...Wouldn't you want to free up the bottleneck to allow the turbos to spool more efficient since running meth your able to run higher boost??

Thats what I would think also.

Shouldn't extra cooling or adding more exhaust space be first priority b4 meth?

On pump gas, you run in to the octane limit way before you run into a backpressure/turbo limitation. Which is why meth will have a bigger pay off than anything else on an otherwise stock car. The downside is that you need to run meth which, while not inconvienient, does run out and need to be refilled from time to time.

Adding meth is adding more cooling.

This I know.

I just thought to get the most out of meth a better intercooler or air intake would be first thing to do b4 meth.

Or is it vice versa?

Mave im with the guys that say meth too. If u lived in this Nasty TX heat or were in Socal where its hot FMIC wouldnt be so bad. But your in NY, alot colder overall. Meth and Procede and your car instantly becomes a monster.

I still don't believe that hot air intakes produce anymore healthy air than the stock airbox.

GO with the FMIC thats a great mod for you that should be a great next step and beneficial since you have the funds. The are a few used ones for sale in private ads, The Stock exhaust can be modified without buyin costly one. Not much gain in aftermarket exhaust big waist for the amount spent just my OP.. just delete second catts and muffler delete or with a choice of small resonators to replace mufller if you like. GL
