AA Tune is permanent unlike the BMS power box which is removable. I've heard good things about AA so far.

I have the BMS in my 2006 and I bought it pretty much for the throttle remap. It definitely addresses the throttle lag, but for actual HP gains......not so sure. I have not been able to dyno.

1. Can I put 335 turbos on my 325? It should fit right?
2. How do I delete my charcoal filter
3. Are BMW owners douchebags?
4. Why does everyone keep telling me to "just buy a 335?"

Haha this forum is absurd. My god people search. There is a massive thread that is the official AA tune thread and has every answer you could ever want in it.

Don't forget dual/quad exhaust conversions, how much hp from Afe intake, which headers for n52, is company xyz releasing their sc kit, and can I beat a g35 (assuming in DS mode)?

LOL

1) Hankook V12 are the best bang for you buck IMO
2) Cyba has the best for price
3) Tons of mufflers out there, just depends on what sound you like more
4) search button is always around the top left, if you can't find it hit "CTRL+F" and type search..if that fails try to search something on google alone with "e90post" at the end of it lol.

1) No, it isn't that simple
2) Tons of DIYs http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21590
3) Yes.
4) If you can..by all means buy one. But should be a 335 that is under warranty because if something goes wrong with the turbos or HPFP its costly. I'm happy with my 330 (just don't forget they're BMWs, so regardless they're still quick and great at handeling) but you can do things here and there to make the n52 a little faster.

I got michelin tires and they are great tires. Expensive but hold up really well, quiet and handle great.

Ive hear good and bad things about the BMS Powerbox. They claim gains of 10 hp but dynos show about a gain of 5 hp. Im more interested in the throttle remap and I am considering buying one. Ive also heard that it downshifts constantly and is jerky. Can anyone tell me more about the powerbox, experience with it, etc?

I havent seen any great proof that BMS box is a solid tune, all post say its great fro throttle response.

If you want a cheap tune, that does not adapt/flatten like the BMS box( it needs restting sometimes). Your cheap sub $400 options are:
OE tuning
Eurocharged tune
and perhaps someone else that tunes e46 m3's for a resonable price

I love my eurocharged. Much better than bms imo

good to know!
I wish there were more reviews of it for x28i's with the 3stage DISA.

Their replies to my inquiry made it comparable to AA's tune, both seem to refine the intake manifold. Euocharged also commented that they have hit a ceiling on the top end of the power. I guess that's why them and AA tune with the DISA just are slightly above stock 330i results

That is true. I am in the process of looking for the 3stage DISA. Once I get that, Jerry from Eurocharged said that they will give me a reflash for free, and that there were other x28i's that came in to get the reflash.
