I'd probably not be interested in buying a car which had been on fire.

If you do go for one with the six pot engine make sure it has had the cams and rockers updated/replaced, the original ones failed, big time.

The other thing to consider is what parts fall off every time you pull away, and the cost of replacing them.

Ignore the above and after three weeks you'll be driving a open topped chassis around

BMW owners wave to one another;
TVR owners wave bits of errant trim at one another!

I loved my TVR (Chimaera) and loved the sound it made even more. It was 100% reliable in 2 years of ownership, however I would never have one as a daily driver...

As far as that one goes, I think not.....unless you enjoy tinkering...the vast majority of TVR faults (aside from the speed 6 engine) tend to be either electrical, or originate in the electrics....

All petrolheads should tick the TVR box once imo...!!

If you expect them to work reliably like a BMW/Audi then yeah, stay away..if you are an enthusiast and want to have a very different driving experience in a car that looks and sounds like no other and are prepared to live with faults/foibles....go for it!

Just go in with your eyes open!!

>>A REAL CREDIT TO ITS OWNER

I suppose it was only a small fire. Could have been much worse if he had been reckless owner.
