Haha I don't think I will go off the track but... I will probably tune the car down for the road course.

Good idea. They have a 100 octane pump so don't forget to increase boost a little after the track event for the roll-on. One thing to note: the high elevation kills power in our stock turbo cars past ~ 5,000 RPM. So don't even attempt a 50mph roll on start in 2nd gear. Do 35 at most.

Also, the DA's in the afternoon heat in June will likely be 5,000 to 6,000 feet. No one will be breaking any records.

It will be interesting to see how the n55 behaves at elevation. We found out the n54 loses a lot of power past 5,000rpm at Willow.

What mods do you have? I bet if you have lighter wheels/tires than stock, you will be very competitive with the heavier stock turbo n54 335's.

I have JB4 + meth with some custom maps from Terry, straight piped, intake on order, ER FMIC and charge pipe, and some other small mods. I'll likely be running a high meth mixture as well!

EDIT: Oh, and don't forget DCT which helps more than you think!

Oh wow that's an impressive list of mods. The meth and FMIC will help tremendously given the expected conditions.

You and I should run. I have a 6AT n54 335i with a Procede, DCI, meth and dps. I'll be running only 49meth/51water. Full weight with 29 pound rear wheels I'm pretty certain you will stomp on me but I would like to see how close I can make it.

Don't be so sure of that...the N55 isn't what I want it to be, unfortunately. N54s with meth are just stupid fast!!

Yeah maybe it will be close. The n54's have the turbo advantage but a 135 with your set up has a couple advantages (better transmission, lighter, more mods) so the question is whether the n54 turbo advantage can overcome the advantages of the lighter DCT 135. We should go from a slow speed roll - like 20-25 mph and see what happens. I bet you pull a car length and then I creep a little and my nose ends at your rear bumper.

Also Tony's is a convertible so it's not necessarily lighter. Maybe about the same. Will still be a cool race

Awesome. Have you ran Terry's 135 yet? I think he's coming as well. That should be a good match I would think. If you can beat him, then maybe you can take a shot at one of the single turbo 335's.

Terry and I ran at the recent airstrip event. He beat me, but I think it's only because my car upshifted to 3rd at the start of the run.

I definitely want another shot at him.

I'm not a convertible!

And also, my buddy signed up last night. He has a turbo'd S2K. Just blew his motor last night and is going to be building it to around 550whp. Thing is FAST

I guess you can run Sihk if he signs up. His car just did 11.3 at Sac today in the 85 deg heat!
