Would love to see some video of the single turbo 335i BMWs putting the hurt on some of those FI M3s.

None of the singles were able to make it. But I ran the ESS 535 e92 DCT M3 shop car driven by Roman. Good clean start at 40mph...he pulled about 5-7 feet on me until we reached triple digit speeds where I stopped his pull and began pulling myself. I think he ended up a couple feet in front but I would have to see the vid to determine whether I caught him or not.

I then ran an ESS 625 e90 M3. Knowing I was at a 200 HP disadvantage, I jumped the start It actually took longer than I thought for him to pass me. At somewhere around 85-90mph we were even but then it pulled pretty good and had 3 cars on me at the finish line.

I also ran xtyper from a dig! xtypers C63 is a beast...570+HP and drag radials. We lined up from a stop at the cones and I honked 3 times and we were off! It was a clean even start (logged 4.1 second 0-60 time on the V-Box which is good for that situation with all the crap on the track) and we stayed even until about 75mph, where the big AMG began to pull on me.

I tried a dig with Jeef with his new-found power (he hooked up a JB4 and ran the 100oct race map). He had a passenger also and no LSD, so he was at a big disadvantage. I botched the start (0-60 in 4.8 seconds lol) and we were even...and I figured I would pull on him but guess what...he inched on me! Good run Jeef!

Other runs: I put 2 cars on a 410 AWHP Evo even though I had zero meth flow...put a bus length on a C6 vette, ran Jeef from a roll but it wasn't a clean run - he started late and I logged really choppy meth flow.

The best race for me was the one that didn't happen. Earlier on the track, I was following a heavily modded M6 (580 est HP) on race tires. He wouldn't let me around him even though I was on his ass for 3 laps. So coming around turn 9 (at like 100mph) I was about 2 cars behind and took the turn a little more agressive and then pulled on him on the back straight...so by the braking point, we were dead even. I actually let him go first around the corner but then he waived me by at the next turn. At the roll on, I was like..."hey we should run, our cars seem evenly matched." He asked what I had an I said "the 335 right there. Just a tune, meth, dps and DCI." He then said he was getting and error code and didn't want to push the car any more and left

BMS was there with their 135 in street trim. Full weight, 49% boost juice, on ~94 octane. They rematched the fast white modified C63 and it was a pretty even race this time around. I heard another race not caught on video with a straight start was nose to nose at the cones. The 135 beat a few other cars and lost to a modified GTR.

Also heard none of the Vishnu sponsored cars showed up. Just a Cobb, a couple JB4 cars, and longboarder running the procede+meth. Don't know how those races went but I heard the Cobb car switched to a JB4 on the spot and ran faster, and pulled on longboarder during a race.

Such a trooper to show up there and represent! And your runs against the ESS car is really confirming your previous observations. Last time I rode up to the event in Xtypers car. From the passengers seat his car definitely feels like a monster.

I was really there for the track event but the roll-ons are fun too. Terry's 135 is a beast and so is Eric's C63. I was the passenger in Terry's car when the two went from a dig and it was fun to spectate.

Regarding the ESS 535 car, it was running with a slight boost leak so at 100% it would have beat me.

why is it that the ESS cars never look that good....remember the ESS M6?Boost leak or not, he should have had his car running 100%

Hey Drew, how's your car doing?

At Trona, there were a couple ESS cars there. The Arkym ESS M3 was actually one of the fastest cars in the event. It beat the Cunningham ZR1 earlier in the day...that ZR1 eventually took the tuner challenge. Yes a couple weren't running 100%, but when they are they are absolute beasts.

Big thanks to you Fish and the rest of the Shift-S3ctor crew! These events are amazing because you have something for everyone.

To be honest, I signed up for your first event on 11-11-11 mainly because of the roll-on. I'd never been on the track...but figured since I was there anyway I'd give it a shot. Now I'm hooked and I'm getting and M3 because of it!!

Look forward to your next event!

Cars still running great. Yeah I remember that orange M3...fast as hell. I'm still waiting to custom tune my car on the dyno but I've been out of work and actually still looking for a good paying job at the moment. Right now I make just enough to not loose my house.

Hopefully ill have a better job at some point to fix my car a bit more.

If Terry's car was full weight, it would have a greater impact on his car. (The lighter car's lb/hp ratio is more affected by weight reduction. Was there a passenger in both Terry's and Erics in each of the races? Weight of the driver/passengers about equal?

Not sure about the other races with Eric, but when I was with Terry on the run from a stop, yes, both had passengers. I thought Eric started early on that run but Terry clarified that he accidently hit the kickdown button and so got a bad launch. Eric or Terry can chime in on the other runs.

It was clear from all 3 runs with Terry's 135i that our cars are amazingly equal in street trim (full interior). The one run we had from a dig said it all, where we had clean even starts and ran side-by-side the entire way down the stretch to about 130mph, crossing the finish line nose to nose.

FWIW, Terry is a great guy and a pleasure to hang out with, and if I ever go to back to BMW, he will be the guy I hand it over to for tuning.

We missed you out there Warren!

As mentioned, in street trim with full interior Terry's 135i and my car couldn't be a closer match if we tried. Next time I hit up Famoso I think I'm going to strip some weight out and go after that 11.2x you did with his car last time out. I may need you to drive it though.

By the way xtyper's C pulled on me with seemingly the same velocity once we hit triple digit speeds about the same at did the ESS 625 M3. That will tell you have fast this car is (and Terry's car).

And to give you guys some reference points, xtyper basically ran even with a tuned CLS63 biturbo making somewhere around 650+ HP.

Thanks Adam for the props. Was a pleasure hanging with you and I still say your car is much more impressive than you lead on. Great job representing the stock turbo N54 crowd out there, and your car definitely did not disappoint!

I look forward to seeing your new M3 in action at the next event.
