Gaza's build No.2- 2016 PIC Updates

Maintenance thread here - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...1#post17046209" rel="" target="_blank">http://<a href="http://www.e90post.c...st17046209</a>

So today I px'd the 325i vert and bought a 335i coupe. Fancied a bit more power and in my 'man' logic the coupe made more sense now that we have a new born because there is more space in the boot! Truth of the matter is this car has the option to turn off the passenger side air bag so the car seat can easily go onto the front seat so perfect.

Colour is sparkling graphite. Originally i was after lemans blue then whilst looking changed my mind to alpine white. Went back and forth between those 2 for a while then finally decided on space grey! Yeah totally random! lol. Anyway this sparkling graphite deal came up and was too good to pass up so I capitalised on it.

Spec:
2007 SE
black leather interior
heated seats
folding mirrors
sat nav
fbmwsh

I was finding folding mirrors and heated seats sort of difficult to find so was happy when this popped up but it wasn't the deal sweetener for me. The sweetener was this:

Birds B3 sport suspension
Birds anti roll bar kit
Qualife limited slip diff

all fitted less than a year ago!!

I've got LOADS of mods planned and all to be done in time for the shows this year so I'm going to be a busy boy especially as I plan on doing as much of it myself as possible. Ever since I decided to change the car back end of last year I've been buying mods and storing them in the loft...so watch this space as I post the updates.

Had a little play on the way home. Absolutely loving the power!

Anyway here are some pics of how she currently sits

Wow ok this is a good change Qualife diff too, sounds like you bought a peach of a car with some nice expensive kit already on it.

I somehow think by show season this car won't be recognisable

Never been in a 335i you will have to take me for a spin mate.

That is a result , the mods it's got, says the car has been cared for by it's owner, must've been a true enthusiast? Was it a forum member ? well done on picking up a peach of a car....

Thanks Alex. Tbh I'm not sure what I'm doing with the twists but at the moment I have 3 sets of wheels which is one set too many so either the twists or the zitos will be up for sale. I just need to decide which one.

Cheers Sam and thanks for all your input during the buying process and putting up with my indecisiveness.

Thanks Adam

Im just back from a late night spin. As the roads were quiet i thought id see what this diff is all about. At the lights pop it into sport and shift down to first (M1). Lights go green and I plant the right foot to the floor! Goes like a bat out of hell....cold damp roads and little to no wheel spin!

YES Shaun!! Inspired choice....

Really looking forward to see what you do!! It will probably dent my own wallet as I get jealous!

Interested about the option to turn off the passenger airbag, I guess it's an option? How do you do it?

God impending parenthood has turned me into a bore, why am I asking about f@cking airbags!!!!

Hey Greg. The airbag option is a key slot on the side of the passenger side dash...the area of the dash where the door closes upon. Put the key in, turn and away you go.

As for mods they'll be starting soon.

I thought it might be something like that, I've checked and I've not got it which is a damn shame!

Anyway on to the important things like mods, looking forward to it taking shape!!

Car looks fab, and already has the best mods you can do pre-installed

Given the whole Birds Kit would have cost you £3-4K to install you should considered that money 'saved'....Given that the pound is at a 3 year high against the dollar why not used the 'saved' money on some nice new turbos http://www.rbturbo.com/products/335i

So after combing ebay i found the m3 interior that was looking for...in fact i found more than i was bargaining for! I got an extended leather interior so that included the dash board and centre console with leather trim!

The guy only had 3 pics of the interior but i wanted more as to me there is no point buying scuffed up seats. He wasn't prepared to unwrap the seats for picture purposes so i said id come collect them! Hired a van and drove up to leciester on saturday gone. We unwrapped every piece and apart from the odd mark here or there the interior was immaculate! Did the deal, wrapped them back up and headed home.

Sunday morning i was straight on it stripping out the existing interior and putting in the m3 stuff! Took me about 5hrs. The longest most tedious job is the centre bracket for the rear seat. Unbolting it is a pain but putting it back is the ultimate pain! Took bloody ages to get the bolts in and tightened. Everything else was ok really.

Only thing left to do is the dash and centre console but i'll let Makkan00 do that. We just need to arrange a date...when i get paid again as im broke! Lol

Anyway here are some pics
