N55 Injen Intake?

do cold air intakes not make the n55 faster? I'm hearing they don't do anything, any truth to this?

When you are not aiming above 400hp, leave it

Invest the money in cooling and exhaust or tune

An intake will offer a few improvements but power is not really one of them. With many many mods you will see minor gains from them. However, the engine will sound better, the gas mileage will improve slightly, quicker throttle response and less strain on your turbo, and it looks better IMO. Unless you mess up the install somehow the car will not be slower than before.

That said, if you are looking at go-fast mods you should pick up a tune. MUCH more cost-effective for power than an intake.

I had injen before and now I have K&N drop in cause the vents GTR hood. Only notice different is sound, I didn't feel much different on power gain though.

yes i have the injen intake for 5 months and the power gaing is not great, the only good side is that you hear the turbo spools and the whossss sound, the throtle response is better and i like how the engine bay looks.

so for me is good enough

i already have a tune exhaust and DP so i was looking for something to give me a little more power

If you want a cool WOOSH! noise then get it. I pre-ordered it when it first came out and I wish I didn't. I would of rather put that $400 towards a DP or something.
