No other exhaust mod except "X-pipe"?

I ordered an X-Pipe yesterday.
That's plenty noise for me.

I've read a few other older threads about resonator deletes and/or secondary cat deletes. From what I found it sounds like the most mild/subtle change to more aggressive goes like this (assuming everything else in exhaust is stock, of course with downpipes each option would be louder):
replace resonator with x pipe (little/no drone) < replace resonator with two straight pipes (louder maybe a little/moderate drone?)< replace secondary cats with xpipe (little/no drone but louder than prior options) Also sounds like leaving the stock resonator reduces Drone but if you remove secondary cats and replace with straight pipe or x pipe would be louder more aggressive vs doing the same with the resonator but less drone? can anyone confirm or Deny what i listed above? I'm revisiting doing one of the above again but don't want to go the trial and error route if possible.

I know the last post was a few months ago. I just bought an exhaust last weekend that has the PE mod. Difference in my case is minimal at idle however it's definitely a deep tone and a little louder than my stock one. With that said, I still wanted it a little louder but nothing obnoxious. I've heard the PE mod on a lot of coupes and it's louder than mine and sounds really good and I know the e92's have the x pipe where e90's have a resonator instead.
I've been searching a lot and saw where people replaced the resonator with an aftermarket x pipe and just purchased one that is 2.25" at each inlet/outlet. I've seen some people use 2.5" and I believe some used 2.25". I thought the factory exhaust was 2.25"? Will this work or does anyone think there would be a noticeable difference between using one that is 2.25" vs 2.5" ? What size did everyone use here?

I want to make sure it still has a deep tone and not raspy. I figured the x pipe is the first step, see how that sounds, if I want more could always delete the 2nd cat's from there. unless leaving the resonator and replacing 2nd cats with an x pipe would be better? I feel like leavin cats in help avoid having the rasp or bad tones of the exhaust sound.
