A trip to the Dealership today

I went in to get some touch-up paint today. Since I was there, I went and browsed through their inventory. I am seriously considering picking up a F30 next spring.

To my horror, just about 70% of the cars have some buff marks from a rotary or swirls on them. I find this somewhat amusing at the same time because I wouldn't have noticing them a few years earlier. I see them now mainly due to all the great posts and pics from everyone here.

Next Spring....there will be some serious negotiations when I buy my car.

The ones inside the showroom are good. It's the ones that sat outside. Majority of those has some type of paint defects on them. I believe the dealership staff an hourly person to wipe them down each week. In trying to keep the car clean, they actually made it worst. As for the buffer trails...... one could only guess.

Like I said before, I wouldn't have noticed these things before if not for forum such as this.

Same here. Whenever I see a nice car, I always take a detailed look at the paint too.

I explain things like swirls and stuff to my wife and she said that she's never noticed such thing until now. She says that most cars on the road are in terrible condition. It's true.

Trust me.... they will not be touching the car at all.
