i noticed a a tear in my leatherette does anyone have any experience with one of those vinyl repair kits? I am thinking of just gluing it back the flap but i am worried that it would not hold and the it will get worst. Any outputs?

Yeah, just ask your dealer to replace it under warranty. Shouldn't give you any trouble.

lol. They're only going to replace the leatherette cover. Plus, how much were you expecting the 'difference' to be? Surely you are not going to only replace your driver's seat with the ZSP seat, are you? You're looking at $$$$$.

They'll probably just superglue it.

They won't clue it, they will replace the leatherette cover on that portion of the seat. Quick and easy.

Man my old e46 had the leatherette tearing on a few places. I didn't think they would replace physical wear on the leather under warranty. That's good to know.

i dont think they will fix a tear in the seat unless it is in the stitching or some sort of manufacturing defect... i dont think a slit in that part of the seat will qualify... let us know what comes of this

I was literally just about to ask this question, just found a flexion tear on my drivers seat from repeated getting in and out. I'll have to add that to the list of warranty items for my appointment this week.
