Double/Triple Taxed

I hate being double taxed. They take the tax on your earned income, then again when you use what's left to buy something, sales tax. Internet purchases are nice because you can at least avoid paying the sales tax. Don't get me started on property tax either. AhHHH! Property tax that just keeps on giving and giving two times a year forever!

How about triple tax...the dividend income you get was taxed once as income by the company distributing the dividend, then this dividend is reported as your personal income, then for the third time when you spend that divided at McDonalds. BS all around.

well here is an example, lets say Ecuador (where my parents were born). In Ecuador there is no income tax, what you earn is yours. There is tax on everything you buy and thats is pretty much it.

But the comparison is difficult because it is a small third world country with little in government services such as healthcare, social programs, safety, transporation infastructure, etc.

My dad runs his own Real Estate business. He can go on and on forever about taxes.

First they tax the property he owns. Then they tax they money the property gains. If he sells a building, they tax that. Then they tax the company's profits. Then they tax the hell out of any reamaining income. Then they tax the property he lives. Then they tax for him to commute to work. Then they finally tax each and every single thing you buy. Oh wait, thats not even the end. Any money he has left to put in the bank or invest in the stock market, that gets taxed too!!! Also, when that remaining money gets passed onto me as inheritance, guess what, it gets taxed too!!!!

All in all, the taxes end up taking away around 80% of his gross income.
That means, for every $20 he spends, he needs to make $100!!!
Yeah, thats right! That CD wasn't twenty bucks, it was really one hundred...
Is this not insane or what???!!!

Where the hell is all this money going??!!
Why are we spending it on killing Arabs, caring for illegal immigrants, supporting the lazy, and keeping lowlifes decent in prison??

God bless America...
(at least this isn't Europe! Now THATS a nightmare! Let's fight off socialism for as long as possible)

NO, The Solution is clever money management, a good accountant, and an attorney for when or if the accountant falls down.

Find yourself paying less than about 15% or so. Property taxes are hard though... I thought about creating my own church, then I could stop paying property taxes. Still need to look into this.

About the only really FAIR taxes I think are sales taxes. They make sense, want to pay less tax buy less crap.

But

I see in many other parts of the world where Governments are taking far more income tax, and charging much much more for sales tax and use tax, so really Here in the States we have very little to bitch about...

Good point, I forgot about inheritance tax. In this long chain, the inheritance tax is quadruple taxation...unless you take it all with you and don't leave anything behind!

I kinda agree, but if you consider that a good portion of what you spend is imported (look at the trade deficit), then those goods are tagged with import tax, duty, or fees for the quota. All going to Uncle Sam already on the front end. Of course, the purpose of these taxes are suppose to make imports less attractive and to discourage consumers to buy these goods. Encouraging Made in USA stuff, which I fully support.

15% tax, Nice. Did you create a LLC?

I'm glad I don't pay that third tax. I don't eat at McDonalds.

At least if you own your own business, you can write it off as a Tax-deductible.
Haha, my dad writes off his BMW's, lol.
Hey, they are used to transport materials for work!
